For patients

I am the patient

If your surgeon or practitioner has asked you to have an assessment, this page explains what happens and how to book.

Why am I here?

An assessment is not a judgement

Many surgeons now ask for a psychiatric opinion before some cosmetic procedures. It is a normal part of careful practice.

The aim is simple: to make sure the procedure you are considering is likely to help, and that you have the right support around it. You will be treated with respect, and you can ask questions at any point.
